The automotive industry is electrified: In order to curb global climate change, many governments have made it their goal to drastically reduce CO2 emissions. Automobile manufacturers are subject to particularly strict emission requirements. The development of alternative forms of propulsion is currently at the top of their agenda. The electric car is considered to be the most promising variant of "green mobility". This is leading to a fundamental disruption in the industry – new business models, changing customer needs and the entry of new players.

As a top management consultancy, we help our customers – leading car manufacturers and automotive suppliers – to master these new challenges as efficiently as possible and to design them sustainably.

At the workshop, put yourself in the shoes of a Bain consultant and develop a comprehensive strategy for the introduction of an all-electric car. Your customer is a European premium automobile manufacturer that has so far only been active in the field of "conventional drives". You will impress with your excellent analytical skills and demonstrate to our automotive experts that you have a feel for current industry trends and consumer needs.

At a very special evening event, you have the opportunity to get to know our Bainies personally and to ask your individual questions in a relaxed atmosphere. Be inspired by the personal career and success stories of our Bainies with diverse professional backgrounds and form your own opinion of your career opportunities at Bain.

event team

DR. ERIC ZAYER, PARTNER

I'm Eric and I joined Bain over 10 years ago. I work in the industrial goods sector and mainly advise clients in the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors. My focus is on sales and customer strategies as well as digital transformations and business models. I studied and did my doctorate at WHU Vallendar. What fascinates me most about Bain is the way we work. We deal with the most exciting and difficult issues that customers need our help with. We work on this as a team with a strong focus on real results in close cooperation with our customers. Our work is characterized by the highest demands on ourselves - but we still manage to have a lot of fun, both on the project and at our office events.

FRANZ DINKELACKER, CONSULTANT

My name is Franz and I started as an Associate Consultant in the Munich office in 2017 after studying physics at KIT and TU Munich. After a very research-intensive time during my studies, I felt like discovering something new and decided to get into consulting. Since then I have worked on many exciting projects in the IT and automotive industries. This summer I joined the Advanced Analytics Ringfence and work exclusively on data-driven projects where I can apply my programming knowledge and experience from my studies. This gives me the opportunity to deal with innovative and trend-setting technologies and to actively help shape them. In my spare time I go snowboarding and cycling in the mountains and I like to cook.

CONRAD BIELITZ, SENIOR ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

I'm Conrad and I've been Bainie in the Zurich office since 2018. During my mechanical engineering studies at the ETH Zurich, I dealt intensively with energy as well as conventional and alternative drive types for cars. After my studies, I worked for a Swiss bank for almost two years, where I supported investments in energy infrastructure until I was drawn to management consulting. In my first project at Bain, we advised a Japanese auto parts supplier as a team. I've been part of our private equity ringfence since spring of this year and have accompanied 12 due diligences in a wide variety of industries since then. In my free time I spend time with friends, repair and ride old and new bikes or prepare for the next triathlon.

CORINNA SCHÖNE, COORDINATOR RECRUITING

I joined Bain in recruiting in 2017 after studying business administration at the University of Bayreuth. Here I am jointly responsible for university marketing, employer branding and social media activities. At various events I inspire students of engineering and natural sciences to join Bain. What do I particularly like about Bain? The great team spirit and the opportunity to quickly advance and implement content-related topics. In my free time, I like doing sports, especially kickboxing and spinning, and trying out Munich's ice cream parlors.
